Pricing & Payment

How much does a tow cost in San Jacinto?

It depends on the distance, the type of vehicle and the situation, for example whether it needs a flatbed, a winch-out or after-hours service. We give you a quote on the phone before we dispatch, so you know the price up front.

Do you charge extra at night or on weekends?

Pricing can vary with time of day and conditions. Whatever the case, the price we quote on the phone is the price we expect to charge for the job as described.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards and cash. Let the dispatcher know how you plan to pay when you call.

Will my insurance or roadside plan pay for the tow?

Many auto policies and roadside plans cover or reimburse towing. Coverage varies, so check your policy. We give you an itemized receipt you can submit for reimbursement.

Why can't you give an exact price without details?

A short tow from Sanderson Ave to a shop on State St is very different from a winch-out on a dirt shoulder or a flatbed to Moreno Valley. A few quick questions let us quote accurately instead of guessing.

Service & Response

How quickly can you get to me?

In San Jacinto and Hemet we typically arrive within 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic and call volume. Farther areas take longer. We give a realistic ETA and call if it changes.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes. Dispatch answers around the clock, every day of the year, including holidays.

What vehicles can you tow?

We handle light and medium-duty vehicles: cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, motorcycles and small box trucks. We don't do heavy-duty semi recovery, but we'll tell you who to call if that's what you need.

Should I ask for a flatbed?

Flatbeds are best for AWD and 4x4 vehicles, EVs, lowered or exotic cars, motorcycles and heavily damaged vehicles. Tell us the make and model and we'll send the right truck.

Can I ride in the tow truck?

In most cases one passenger can ride along, space permitting. Let the dispatcher know when you call so we can plan for it.

Insurance & Accidents

What should I do right after an accident?

Check for injuries and call 911 if anyone is hurt. If the cars can be driven and no one is hurt, move out of traffic. Exchange names, license, registration and insurance information, take photos, then call for a tow if needed.

Do I have to report an accident to the California DMV?

Yes, if anyone was injured or killed, or property damage was over $1,000. Each driver must file an SR-1 with the DMV within 10 days, regardless of fault. A police report does not replace it.

Can I choose where my car is towed after an accident?

Usually yes, if you're able to make the decision and officers on scene don't direct otherwise. You can send it to your home, a body shop, or a dealer. If police order a tow, their instructions come first.

Will you work with my insurance company?

We provide the documentation your insurer typically needs, including an itemized receipt and pickup and drop-off locations. Many insurers reimburse towing, but coverage depends on your policy.

Can you tow my car to a body shop for an estimate?

Yes. We can take it straight to the shop of your choice or to your home while you sort out the claim, so storage fees don't build up.

Impounds & Vehicle Release

My car was towed. How do I find it?

If it was towed from private property, the lot should have signs listing the tow company. If police ordered the tow, contact the agency that handled it, which in San Jacinto is the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, or CHP on state highways.

What do I need to get my car released?

Typically a valid driver's license, proof of ownership such as current registration, and payment for towing and storage. Police holds may also require a release from the law enforcement agency before the yard can release the car.

Does the storage yard have to accept credit cards?

Yes. Under California Vehicle Code 22651.1, storage facilities must accept a valid bank credit card or cash from the registered owner or their agent, and the card must be in the name of the person presenting it.

Do storage fees keep adding up?

Yes, storage is generally charged per day, so it pays to pick up your vehicle or have it towed to a shop or home as soon as you can.

Do you handle private property impounds for businesses?

Yes. We work with property managers, HOAs and businesses on private property impound following California signage and notice rules. See our private property impound service for details.

Roadside Help

Can you jump start my car instead of towing it?

Yes. If the battery is the only problem, a jump start gets you going. If the car won't hold a charge, we can tow it to a shop or parts store.

I locked my keys in the car. Can you help?

Yes. Our lockout service opens most cars and trucks without damage. You'll need to show ID and proof that the vehicle is yours before we open it.

Do you change flat tires?

Yes, we'll mount your spare if it's in good shape. If there's no usable spare or the wheel is damaged, we can tow you to a tire shop.

I ran out of gas. Can you bring fuel?

Yes. We bring enough fuel to get you to the nearest gas station. Let us know if your vehicle runs on diesel.

My car overheated. Should I keep driving?

No. Pull over safely, turn off the engine and don't open the radiator cap while it's hot. Driving an overheated engine can cause expensive damage. Call us and we'll tow it to your mechanic.

Need a tow right now?

Tell dispatch where you are. We’ll give you a price and an arrival time before the truck leaves.
