Nuevo is open country between Perris and San Jacinto — rolling hills, small farms, dry riverbed and long straight roads where people drive faster than they should. Most Nuevo towing calls we take come from one of two places: the Ramona Expressway, or the dirt and gravel roads branching off it.
Our trucks reach Nuevo straight down the Ramona Expressway from San Jacinto, about 13 miles. Call Nick's Towing San Jacinto at (951) 355-4290 day or night and we'll send a flatbed or wheel-lift.
The Ramona Expressway Corridor
The Ramona Expressway is the main link between the San Jacinto Valley and Perris, and it runs right along Nuevo's northern edge. It carries heavy commuter traffic and a lot of trucks heading to the warehouse district near I-215. Long straightaways invite high speeds, and when crashes happen at rural intersections they tend to be serious.
For collisions, our accident towing service clears the vehicle once law enforcement releases it. For breakdowns, get onto a side road if you can. The shoulders here can be narrow, and headlights at night don't always pick up a stopped car in time.
Muddy Roads and the San Jacinto River
The usually dry San Jacinto River runs along Nuevo's north side, and the low ground around it can flood or turn to mud after a heavy storm. Many local roads are unpaved, and a surprising number of vehicles end up stuck in soft dirt just a few feet from where the driver thought the road was solid.
Don't keep spinning the tires; that digs you deeper and can damage the transmission. Call for a winch-out instead. Tell us how close firm ground is so our driver can set up without getting stuck too.
Nuevo Towing for Horse Country and Small Farms
Nuevo is horse country, and plenty of pickups here pull trailers. When a tow vehicle quits with a trailer attached, the job takes planning: where can the trailer safely sit, is anything alive inside it, and who's coming for it? We'll work that out with you on the phone before the truck shows up.
Farm properties also have their share of old cars and trucks that no longer run. When it's time to clear space, our junk car removal picks them up with the right paperwork.
Many Nuevo properties have long gravel driveways and gates set back from the road. When you call, tell us whether a truck can turn around on your lot or needs to back in, and whether animals are loose on the property. Our driver will close every gate behind him.
Motorcycles on the Open Road
The long, open roads around Nuevo and Lakeview draw riders, especially on cool mornings. When a bike breaks down out here, there may not be anywhere close to leave it, and pushing a heavy cruiser along a dirt shoulder isn't realistic.
Our motorcycle towing uses a flatbed with proper wheel chocks and soft straps, so the bike rides upright without scratched paint or bent levers. If you went down, get medical help first; we can pick up the motorcycle once you're safe and the scene is cleared.
Getting Help Out Here
Cell coverage can be spotty in parts of rural Nuevo, and addresses aren't always obvious. If you have a signal, text us a map pin. If not, note the nearest named road — Nuevo Rd, Lakeview Ave, Reservoir Ave, or the Expressway — and a landmark we can spot from the truck.
Lake Perris is just to the northwest, so we often pass through Nuevo on the way to calls there, and the reverse. That helps keep arrival times reasonable for a rural area.
If it's dark and you're stopped on the Expressway shoulder, stay in the car with your seatbelt on rather than walking along the road looking for a sign.
