A collision is stressful enough without having to figure out who to call for the car. Nick's Towing San Jacinto provides accident towing in San Jacinto and the surrounding valley 24/7. We clear your vehicle from the scene, sweep up the glass and debris we can, and take the car where you want it, not wherever is most convenient for someone else.
Whether it was a fender bender in a parking lot on Sanderson Ave or a hard hit out on SR-79, call (951) 355-4290 once everyone is safe and we will handle the vehicle side.
First Things First After a Crash
Before you think about the car, think about people. If anyone is hurt, or if vehicles are blocking traffic in a dangerous spot, call 911 first. Then:
- Turn on your hazard lights and, if the car can move and it is safe, get it out of the travel lanes.
- Check on everyone involved and stay away from passing traffic.
- Exchange names, phone numbers, insurance details and license plate numbers with the other driver.
- Take photos of all vehicles, the road, any skid marks and the street signs nearby.
- Call us when you are ready for the tow, or ask the officer on scene to request us if you have that option.
Do not argue about fault on scene. Stick to the facts and let insurance sort it out.
If your car is still drivable but you are shaken up, it is fine to wait for a tow anyway. Driving right after a crash, with adrenaline running, is how second accidents happen.
How Our Accident Towing Works on Scene
Crash scenes are different from regular breakdowns. Wheels may be bent, the car may not roll straight and fluids may be leaking. Our drivers take the time to load a damaged vehicle without making the damage worse. In most collision cases we use a flatbed, because it keeps the whole car off the ground and avoids dragging a broken suspension or a damaged transmission.
If the car went off the road, into a ditch or onto a dirt shoulder, we can winch it back before loading. See our winch-out and recovery service for that kind of situation.
Before we leave, our driver picks up loose parts and broken pieces from your vehicle where it is safe to do so, and we will remind you to grab your registration, insurance card, garage remote and any personal items from inside.

You Choose Where the Car Goes
After a crash, people are often in shock and agree to the first destination someone suggests. You do not have to. In most situations you have the right to choose which body shop repairs your car, even if your insurance company recommends one. Common choices include:
- Your preferred collision or body shop
- The dealership for your make
- Your home, if you need time to decide and the car fits safely in the driveway
Leaving a wrecked car sitting at a storage yard can get expensive, because storage fees usually add up daily. If you are not sure where it should go yet, tell us and we will talk through your options so the car does not sit longer than it needs to.
Insurance, Reports and Paperwork
We give you an itemized receipt for every accident tow so you can submit it to your insurer. Many auto policies include towing coverage, so call the claims number on your insurance card and ask what is covered.
Keep in mind that in California you must report a crash to the DMV within 10 days using form SR-1 if anyone was injured or killed, or if property damage was more than $1,000. That is separate from any police report or insurance claim, and it applies no matter who was at fault.
If police respond to the scene and need the road cleared quickly, they may call a tow company from their own rotation list. If you have the option to choose, you can ask for Nick's Towing San Jacinto by name.
Protecting Your Car After the Tow
Once the car is off the road, the goal is to keep the damage from getting worse and keep your claim simple. Before our driver loads the vehicle, take your own photos of every side, including close-ups of the damage. Ask the driver to note anything unusual, like a door that will not close or a leaking radiator.
If the car will sit outdoors for a few days, cover broken windows with plastic to keep out dust and the occasional rain. And remove valuables, documents and toll transponders before it goes to a shop or yard. Small steps like these make the adjuster's job easier and help your repair move faster.
Crash-Prone Spots We Know Well
We respond to collisions all over the valley, but some roads come up again and again. Gilman Springs Road is a busy two-lane run with long straightaways and limited room to pull over. Ramona Expressway sees high-speed traffic between San Jacinto and Perris. The Lamb Canyon stretch of SR-79 toward Beaumont mixes trucks, commuters and grades, and intersections along State Street, Sanderson Ave and Florida Ave in Hemet see plenty of fender benders.
We also cover crashes in Hemet, Valle Vista and out toward Menifee and Moreno Valley.
Where we provide accident towing
Every day in San Jacinto, and on request in Hemet, Valle Vista, East Hemet, Winchester, Homeland, Nuevo, Menifee, Perris, Moreno Valley, Beaumont, Banning, Idyllwild.
